Friends! I just put up a ‘new’ song of mine up on YouTube. It’s actually not new whatsoever but letting it out into the world is the new part. It’s called “The Ice I Tread to Tell You” and I wrote it for a very dear friend to whom I owed a an apology.
Iffins in case you enjoyed the song and iffins you missed the post a few days ago, here’s a bunch more demos I’ve done over the years and posted on YouTube. I posted them because all they’ve done is sit on hard drives for years so might as well share them and not be my own personal archivist.

Nice song. Your vibrato seems to stand out more than in other of your songs that I’ve heard. Not sure if you attempt to control that or if ‘it is what it is’ when you sing. Your voice is great, I just like the songs with more subtle vibrato personally.

Thanks! I’m glad you liked the song. The vibrato is what I’m stuck with and it’s present enough that ten years ago a review wrote that my voice was “a mix between Rufus Wainwright and Jim Carrey’s karaoke voice in ‘Cable Guy”. I don’t have control of the bleating-lamb speed of it but I can control is it’s on-or-off. Freddie Mercury had a really fast vibrato but his control of it was amazing and it rarely stood out. If I had the smooth vibrato of Rufus Wainwright that’d be so very nice!
